Intellivision Amico

The historic Intellivision console returns in a modern guise with Amico, a unique video game system that aims to redefine entertainment with family and friends. Intellivision Amico comes with six preloaded premium games and additional games at very affordable prices, with no swear words and no graphic violence / blood or sexual content, in fact every game on Amico is rated E for Everyone or E10+ from 10 years old and up. The game fully adapts to your skill level and is free of ads, downloadable content, loot boxes or in-game purchases. Intellivision Amico is also equipped with a large library of games ranging from sports and free time, educational and brain games, classic party and retro games, to the most popular board games: in short, there really is something for everyone.

The Intellivision Amico will mostly feature 2D and 2.5D games, 3D games will be allowed as long as they are easy to play and easy to learn. Intellivision Entertainment plan to release a mixture of new games, updated classic games and motion control games for the Amico.

Updated versions of many of the classic Intellivision games will be available with improved graphics and sound and, unlike previous Intellivision compilations, will include some previous third-party licenses, such as Tron: Deadly Discs. Downloadable games, available via the Amico Game Shop, will cost between €2.99 and €9.99, while physical editions will be available for approximately €30.

The Amico's goal is to return to family gaming and "couch co-op" among people in the same location,  a condition no longer so ordinary in modern gaming and definitely lost in web-based multiplayer. As a part of this, all games will be both single-player and simultaneous local multiplayer, up to eight players.

The console features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID, HDMI out, an SD card slot, a wireless charging cradle for Amico controllers on the top, passive cooling, and three USB ports, two of which are for charging, and the remaining of which is for expandable storage. The body also features a built-in LED ambient lighting system that can change pattern and color in response to gameplay, known as Interactive Guidance Lighting. This feature is intended to make playing games on the console "fun and memorable" while also helping guide players in an interactive way.

The Intellivision Amico comes bundled with two controllers wirelessly chargeable when placed into their cradle on top of the console, you can charge using a wired USB-C connection or using both methods at the same time. They feature Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID, speakers, a microphone, an accelerometer, force feedback, and a gyroscope. They also feature a 3.2 in (81.28 mm) full-color touch screen, four oversized shoulder buttons, a home button and a 64-way pressure-sensitive directional disc surrounded by a ring of LEDs. The controllers come with wrist straps to prevent them from flying away during game action if not held securely. Up to six additional players can connect, with players able to use additionally purchased controllers or a free controller smartphone app in place of an Amico controller, when needed.
